The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Alumni Association seeks to be a respected and leading organization whose members are engaged in the lives of students, alumni and ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ by giving of their Time, Expertise and Gifts, engaged in the leadership of their community, church and workplace.
The purpose of the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Alumni Association Board of Directors is to advise and work with the Alumni Relations Office at the University to develop effective alumni programs which support the mission and continued development of ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ; to serve as a conveyor of this Christ-first University; provide a mechanism through which the alumni may communicate with each other and serve their alma mater.
The objectives of the ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Alumni Association are to:
- Communicate the mission of ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ of Extending Hands, Enriching Souls and Enlightening Minds.
- To increase the percentage and dollar amounts of alumni giving to the University Annual Fund and/or Campaigns.
- To serve as the events planning agency for ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Alumni Association.
- Focusing on student-alumni events, chapter development, career networking opportunities and host class reunions to attract and maintain alumni interest, involvement and support.
- To recognize the accomplishments of alumni and recruit interested alumni for service.
- Attendance of scheduled Alumni Board meetings each year.
- Contribute a financial gift, at a minimum of $250 annually, to ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ University.
- Contributions can be directed to Endowed Scholarship funds, Annual Scholarship Fund, Sailfish Club, or others ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ funds related to the donor’s interest.
- Serve on at least one committee related to one’s expertise or interests.
- ÌýAttending alumni activities such as Homecoming, Family Weekend and Networking events.
- ÌýProvide corporate sponsorships at an Alumni Event.
- Attend a College Fair with an Admissions Counselor; distribute Admission Packets in Community/Church.
- Attending a regional Chapter Event, assisting with alumni sponsored activities hosted for ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ students such as graduation events, mentorship program, Welcome Week event or Networking event.
- Offer ideas to help make the Board of Directors and the Alumni Association more meaningful to the alumni constituency.
- Help the Alumni Relations staff evaluate programs and take initiative in informing them of opportunities for program development and/or funding.
- Make phone calls congratulating recipients of the Alumni Scholarship award.
